Thanks for your reply. the Gigabyte board was actually the one I was looking at right now. I now noticed that the MSI x570 Tomahawk board should be hitting the shelves in the next few weeks and they're getting pretty outstanding reviews. I might actually wait for that one to be available before I decide.
Hmm that one looks very promising indeed.

At what time is that Microsoft event?
Where will it be streaming?

thanks :)
maybe someone should make a streaming thread for it? (with embeds and a chatroom linked to the thread)

Just pre-ordered TLOU 2. First game Ive bought for my PS4 since Days Gone which was in november last year on sale.
should've waited for the PC version ;)

Im not saying "never", there's just no sign of it and if you know anything, at least hint to it, I can refund the game (it's the physical version I pre-ordered).

Like, I have not bought FFVII Remake on my PS4, almost did it, as there are signs of a PC version, as in, it being a timed exclusive and the "gameplay captured on PC" in the Square "thank you" video.

well ... it all depends on if you're ok with waiting ... potentially for a while :p

Wel in that case, I fully intend to play the game day 1, loved the first game. No intention of waiting months or years to play TLOU 2 on PC. And if it releases on PC, good stuff, will do a second playthrough then.

Ghost of Tsushima on the other hand can probably wait, not very interested in it, but it looks really good. Depends on how it reviews and stuff.

There is a lot negative to say about Nvidia in general, but their DLSS tech is aging like fine wine.

Mechwarrior 5, maxed out + maxed out Ray Tracing - no DLSS
Mechwarrior 5, maxed out + maxed out Ray Tracing - with DLSS [Quality mode]

Not only does it provide a substantial fps boost (though ultra RTX settings are extremely taxing), it also improves many fine details. Look at the "planets" on the holographic table, or the writing above the door, the details on the console to the left etc.

Though AO seems to be different? Not really sure.

The Ghostrunner Demo is pretty cool.
And it has a pretty good looking Ray Tracing mode.

I didn't like it, the movement in particular :(. Dodging felt really floaty and more often than not you moved half a mile and ended up stepping off a ledge or even walking into another projectile.

Thanks for quick reply. One more small series of questions though.

1: Does Shadowbringers ever go on sale or should I just grab it whenever?
2: Does Shadowbringers include Stormblood, I can't seem to find a seperate page for Stormblood on Steam so I am assuming so.
1. Yes, it goes on sale on SE website very frequently. Unfortunately you use Steam 🙁
2.

There seems to be a rhythm to the shots and you can even slash them with your sword instead of dodging. But going in blind into a new room has certainly a couple "how was I supposed to anticipate that" moments.
And yes, I often overshoot after dodging in slow mode, but that's hopefully something they'll figure out till release.

Reminded me a bit of superhot meets mirrors edge, without reaching the quality of either.

I really hope it turns out to be true, at least for more action-heavy games.

Because if developers target 30 FPS on those consoles (CPU-wise) you'll need a rather beastly PC to reach 60, and can forget about 120.
How likely do you see actual CPU utilization being high in any low frame rate scenario? With modern games development the bottleneck seems to be (inter thread) latency, which more often only impacts games at higher frame rates, or on really weak & old CPUs.

It’s just hard to imagine any practical (& not poorly implemented) games feature that will drag a modern & good CPU down to 20ms+ on some regular workload.

It's really not about features, at least not for 95% of the games being made. It's simply that people will only optimize the code (and/or assets!) to the point where it hits the performance target, and that's what you get.

It's a brave move that going forward that they said that they would not be marketing their game. But it might potentially work out for them and give them worry about one less thing?

What if it's HL2 ported to Source 2?

Also will this potentially launch along side Black Mesa with Valve as the publisher?

I watched that PSVR without Parole dude's video about The Walking Dead Saints and Sinners. The dude seemed to be very happy about the game. I'm guessing that he has played a lot of PSVR games over the last 4 years. And mentioned how this was among one of the ones that has left the strongest impression on him and he had only played it for less than 2 hours at that point.

I do find it unusual that the game was just released out of the blue. Is it possible that they choose to release it out of the blue as part of Sony's VR announcement? On that date they also announced the release date of a few other PSVR titles. I'm curious if the dev/publisher will do stuff to promote the game. The review trailer that they had for it was interesting because all of the reviews that they were showing from the PS trailer seemed to have been from the PC version (if you check metacritic you will not see any reviews for the PSVR version and they even mention PC gamers review) but strangely enough they do not say that those are reviews for the PC version. But from what the dude was saying the PSVR version did not seem that different from the PC version.

He did bring up an interesting topic though about how you get something as good looking at Saints and Sinners running on PSVR and how others devs likely could do the same if they really wanted to. And potentially that might be the case? But wouldn't stuff like CPU usage be the issue for some games like H3, I think Anyone said one of the reasons the game would not be on PSVR for PS4 was because of the CPU.
