GeForce Ampere event will probably be in August and release will be in Sept with Cyberpunk.

Prices are gonna be ridiculous with all this talk of DLSS, RTX, AI and 7NM stuff. Their marketing dept is drooling right now.

Expecting 3070 to be like 500$ at this point.

My new monitor finally arrived today.
I'll put it together when I finish working later today.

Now, I need a proper game to test it.
Something to truly show the quality of it.

Since I've been playing a lot of INTI CREATES titles, I think I'll use Gal*Gun: Double Peace to test it.
What do you think, lashman? 😉

I"ve been playing Battletech again, now into the career mode with the community assets bundle mod. It's ridiculous that there are so many new unites and items are added by this mod, it's like a completely new game.

He doesn't need to go to hell to find anime, his library is already anime hell!

Lol, did anyone see the "Marbles RTX" thing at the Nvidia keynote?

We were working on a game tentatively called "Sphere Spectacle" since summer of last year which is basically a 100% raytraced Marble Madness (using Vulkan on a custom engine). We put it on the backburner due to other projects though.

It has some spiffy features like
  • Light refraction (which I haven't seen in Marbles RTX, eat your heart out Jensen :p)
  • 100% Dynamic sound effects depending on marble physics (e.g. rolling speed + material)
  • Steam controller support with custom haptic feedback to make you feel the ball rolling.
  • 0 texture design. As in, the game ships with literally zero textures. All surface detail (what there is -- it's mostly geometry) is procedural.
  • 1000 Hz physics timestepping.
However, it's totally and utterly unfinished. Basically in tech demo state.

Yeah, I was just messing with lashman, because of the theme of the game. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I'm not actually planning on doing any actual "big" test.

I'll use the same method I use with graphics cards: run old games, and max everything, and "wow" at Deux Ex, or something similar, running at a high resolution. 😛

So yeah, watch me play the same games I usually play (Dragon Marked For Death, DARIUSBURST, Dandy Dungeon, Euro Truck Simulator 2, and I'll probably start Blaster Master Zero 2), but on a shiny new monitor. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

The monitor that broke down was actually 1680x1050, so for the past week I've already experienced the joy of playing these same games in 1920x1080. 😊

Tell us everything you know about PS4 games coming to PC and we'll be very happy.

:cat-heart-blob::cat-heart-blob::cat-heart-blob:
Yeah, not that one :I
That's really kind of you. Speaking personally, this pandemic has thoroughly exacerbated issues I had with an already bad situation and I can't wait for it to be over. It's made me quite negative of late and I'm sorry about that. Here's hoping everything gets better soon!
Some things will go better, some won't but here's hope at a personal level for you everything goes amazingly well. :_

As expected, only 25% off for Fallout 76. The game has received increased value lately.

I guess I'll just try the free weekend for now.

uPlay represents 40% of PC net bookings

so i think we can safely assume steam is the other 60% (with egs being something like 1-2% tops) ... even after they fucked off ...

nope ... steam ... all their old crap keeps selling like crazy during each sale
I think EGS numbers must be higher than that because of the free games, they probably consider every unit given as a sale since Epic is paying for it, plus all the guarantee sales payout of the "co-exclusives" games.

Tetris Effect is out now for Quest.

In case you or any other user wonders why it's out for the Quest, answer is simple, Quest is considered an stand-alone version and not PCVR so the WGS deal doesn't interfere with this and that's why it's not the version for Oculus Rift S/CV1 and why we still don't have a page for it on Steam (confirmed already 3 times or so)

Game will end exclusivity in 69 days more or less and then it should became open for PCVR platforms

I know. :p

Hence why it's not out on the Rift store yet.

Hands up who likes Resident Evil 6 coz im playing it and its batshit crazy fun.
Me Me Me!!!

People keep telling me I'm crazy, and I'll repeat time and time again: Resident Evil 6 is my favourite RE game, period. 😊

As soon as you "get" the gameplay, as in, start basically mostly shooting just to temporarily "stun" the bad guys, only to then start drop-kicking them, and crush their heads on the ground with your foot, you are in for a good time.

Nearly 3 straight weeks now Ive been checking all those sites for Oculus Rift S and its always sold out across all of them.

But twice now this past week Best buy showed it available and lets you add it to cart. Then you click check out and it says its sold out

I really should have bought that cheap Odyssey + late last year when it was going around for like 200$.

Also I read there are rumors of new Oculus headset coming later this year. And some other rumored HP headset in collab with Valve.

Now I feel like I'm about to buy a headset and much better tech will release later this year.

Its gonna be my birthday soon and I just want to play Alyx and Skyrim VR :blobweary:

Ughhh fuck everything. Fuck video games.

Yeah! Its great fun.
And, a lot of content. With a lot of variety.
Each of the campaigns almost feels like a different game. Different UI and everything.
You want more horror, suspenseful content? You have Leon's campaign. You want to play a third-person, action game (kind of like something from the Gears of War series)? You have the Chris Redfield campaign. There's content, I thought, to please almost everyone.
People called the game bloated. I call it big, dumb, b-movie fun!

Oh, and the extra modes are a lot of fun.
You can easily spend more time there, than in the main game.

Yep agreed. There is so much content its ridiculous. I like the skill system where you unlock various buffs and helpful things to mix it up a bit. Just unlocked infinite ammo for handguns! woo.

Idk if I've made a driveby post here before regarding this but fuck it, here's another.

Sea of Thieves is damn good in groups of three to four. Get your socially distanced sibilings and friends together and tackle some treasure hunting.

Xbox gamepass for PC has been worth it for me for just that one game. And they've got DOZENS of high quality things to tool around with there.

Where the fuck else can you and a couple of other drunken 30 somethings stand on the bow of a sailing ship, playing instruments badly as it sinks? Well, probably a lot of places but to get an xbox achievement.

That's priceless.

Also nothing like sailing away with the ship while my brother grabs the 40th plank of wood and hearing him ask everyone where the fuck the ship went? It went back to its home planet and died while I set it one fire, that's where. Haven't heard a grown man so angry at a video game in YEARS. Worth it.

Goes in sale for about $250USD every so often

Maybe I should have gotten one as well. But I wanted an index (which I don't own).

As for the HP thing that has been confirmed. It's MSxHPxValve.

I don't know if MS has mentioned another wave of WMR HMDs but this HMD may end up spearheading that? An HMD that is about the price of an Rift S but aimed at schools and for gamers? Different models?

Apex (and maybe the EA Access library) coming sooner than we might be thinking :p
I might jump back into the game because on Origin the game would always freeze and I had to drop it because of that.

I want to play Anthem without Origin.

In case you don't know, Origin launcher is hogging quite a lot of resources and caused performance drop on Anthem.

Not sure if I like this compared to my 1080 display.
