Downunder.
Since they reduced the humble discount amount to 10% even if you pause only a month I'm a bit reluctant to unpause.

Cancelling my sub altogether is becoming a more attractive proposition as time goes on.

This whole premise seems pretty wild.

Hope it sports a demo as it feels like something you'd really need to see in motion before committing.
yeah, normally i would just ignore it since there are tonnes of minecraft clones on steam, but the whole 4D thing makes it sound REALLY cool (as does the explainer in the description, haha)

Anyone stuck with MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries more than a bit?

I thought I'd give it another chance and I managed to map my flight stick + kb combo similar to how I have it in MW4: Mercenaries but it still doesn't feel nearly as good for some reason, I'm struggling to aim as stable and precisely or even strafe around enemies effectively. I think it doesn't instantly stop turret pitch/yaw movement in a given direction but has a slight slowdown lag first? It might not be the case and something else is wrong, I have to try again.

Also I'm not sure about Arm Lock. The arms move pitch/yaw faster than torso so if you disable it you can aim and shoot faster in directions? While if you do arm lock then they're limited to torso speed (but then also match torso facing weapon crosshair since not all are on the arms)? Something like that? Are there other totally free floating cursor weapons where you'd be at huge disadvantage if using arm lock (and flight stick) instead of aiming all over the place easily and precisely with just the mouse? Also I guess there's no coolant this time, you just gotta watch your heat the whole time? I didn't see a mapping for it.

Also I can apparently map any key combinations for functions, so I can have W for throttle up, S for down and then Shift + W for throttle max and Shift + S for throttle zero etc. but apparently I can't map button combos on the stick as well? I wanted to make the trigger like a "Shift" key so I could then do 6 weapon groups on 3 stick buttons (4 with the trigger). I can't do shift or other key + joystick button either. Maybe it's better to redo all weapon groups in the lab to give me a max of 4 groups, It's not like it's common to wanna use some puny weapon on its own instead of coupled with at least one more, right? Or maybe just set the left arm on one button, the right arm on another, shoulders/torso on a third, and all together on the last? Or separate by type. Lasers, missiles, etc.

Following up on the Chrono Cross music thing, it seems I interpreted the confusing wording correctly and the soundtrack is simply a cleaned up version of the original with the rearrangements only being playable in a menu. So that's good news.

Since Crystal Dynamics is working on another Tomb Raider maybe Eidos-Montréal can go back to working on Deus Ex eh Square?
Theyre in the Marvel mines, sorry :/

In-house engines? What's that?
Sigh, yeah... Unreal's a good engine, sure, but I dont think consolidation is a good thing. In-house-engines are often interesting and just different looking. The Fox engine, the Dawn engine, RE Engine, the Void engine (and idTech proper), Source, Road Hog Engine, REDengine, Glacier, theyre all great engines in their own way in my opinion (cant speak of technical stuff, of course). Some of these look amazing and run buttery smooth. I just dont wanna see all that become all Unreal. And if you wanna have only one big engine, it should be open-source and developed by multiple companies & team, not just Epic.

Tomb Raider just won't die but Deus Ex can't get the second half of its last game... :disappointed-face:
sigh sod Tomb Raider, it hasn't been good in nearly a decade
Rise of the Tomb Raider was very good, thank you very much :p

But yeah, tastes and everything. I would argue there should be place for both but I'd also like more Deus Ex, in any case. The series is filled with unfinished stories.

Tomb Raider reboot games are fine, they're just got progressively worse because they took themselves too seriously despite being largely nonsensical.
I was just annoyed how much of the remake (you know the 2013) one involved shooting people with arrows. I just want my silly tomb puzzles and occasional killing maybe a couple of cute animals. That's it. But nope, that game really insisted on silly torture porn and its really tiresome combat. Peaced out from the series after that.
