I have never seen something like this, this is a first, HOLY COWS!

Did you play the original? it was hard as hell before it got patched lolYeah Mafia DE Race Mission on Classic and Simulation really is BS. I have nothing against challenging sections in games as long as they are fair. Race mission is not fair because many parts of it are pure RNG. From first bend to NPC crashes. Also your car spins too damn easy and it can behave like damn tank in some bends.
iirc there is 1 hour timeout ... that if you post within that hour after your previous post , it gets mergedThere seems to be a new feature to the forum. I made two posts back to back, but the second post was merged into the first post. I never had this happen before.
It's real in that achievements for it leaked a month ago, and the achievements were gotten by people who work at Rare in October 2021, so fairly recently.Hope that rumored Goldeneye remaster release is true and comes to Steam. No joke I haven't been this excited about a game in a long time lol
Is it another remaster, or the Xbox 360 one that was actually leaked a few months back?Hope that rumored Goldeneye remaster release is true and comes to Steam. No joke I haven't been this excited about a game in a long time lol
I would assume it's the leaked one since it was almost complete. Is it another remaster, or the Xbox 360 one that was actually leaked a few months back?
That feels like it leaked a year ago but it's been barely a month, lmaoHope that rumored Goldeneye remaster release is true and comes to Steam. No joke I haven't been this excited about a game in a long time lol
Oh yeah, Goldeneye. Are all of Microsofts core shootybangbang games gonna be ones that are made with a gamepad in mind, in that really old way where everything's compromised around it? Oh god, now I'm thinking of if they forced that on whatever the next Doom game is.That feels like it leaked a year ago but it's been barely a month, lmao
You're not going to like it. The game's been pretty disappointing thus far. It's a chore to play because you'll be wrestling with the game's awful mechanics and unfair enemy design. I've heard some reviewers saying the combat has depth... which is absolute nonsense considering some of the core elements of the combat don't even work well.Anybody get a chance to try out Sifu?
Seems like it could be good fun, but I keep seeing 'souls--like, but not' bandied about and, I'm not big on that style of game
I wonder how many security researchers will go through it to check for any security issues like buffer overflow exploits.Hrmmmhmhmhm...
I wonder if Intel's XESS tech being open source means developers can do funky things with it. Like using it in the reconstruction step for alternative upsampling methods like interlaced and checkerboard rendering, or to upsample the art in a card game so it looks good at any resolution.
I enjoyed both but HZD more by far as it was a much smoother experience. The gameplay in Days Gone had good parts but way too much jank.I finished Horizon: Zero Dawn and its expansion. It was fun and I liked the world's lore (specifically the Old World stuff) but I have to say that I don't think it's that much better than the other Sony game I played recently, Days Gone. I don't know if DG was underrated or HZD overrated but I do believe that the difference in quality between the two isn't as big as I expected based on the reviews and general reception.
Really wanting to play Lost Ark, not launching in my Region so shit out of luck.300k peak for Elden Ring seems about right. I think Lost Ark will give it a run for its money though.
it apparently has roguelite-style progression mechanics despite the levels being entirely handcrafted rather than procgen, which is… oddAnybody get a chance to try out Sifu?

What really bothered me about Zero Dawn, was how much potential story telling was wasted on the really mindless side quests. I guess they couldn't simply copy Witcher 3, since the game was in development through most of 2015, and it's probably far too late to change the quest design at such a point.I finished Horizon: Zero Dawn and its expansion. The real problem for me is that HZD told the entire story about the fall and why it happened. By the end you know what went wrong and can see how it got here. That was the best stuff in the game, what else is left to tell? I worry the sequel is going to suffer because the good part of the story has already been told. What really bothered me about Zero Dawn, was how much potential story telling was wasted on the really mindless side quests. I really hope Forbidden West does a better job copying good RPGs on this. The actual world seems really nice and interesting, especially the old world and what happened to it.
Most people here don't support Epic's money hatting, so you may want to ask again next yearAnybody get a chance to try out Sifu?
That's sad. The kind of games they make isn't suitable for live services at all imo...
Ugh... Platinum Games is going to focus on live service games... I wonder if they'll keep that stance after Babylon's Fall release...
The build itself I think leaked last year but the achievement list was indeed not too long ago. But yeah, time has kind of lost its meaning in the past 2 years. That feels like it leaked a year ago but it's been barely a month, lmao
I played a lot of Dead Island and I finished the first Dying Light. The two games share a lot of the same DNA but the parkour is absolutely essential in DL because in most cases you are not supposed to clear the area of zombies, just finish your objective and retreat to the rooftops.So....
What exactly is Dying Light 2?
I know it is a Zombie slasher, but the parkour thing is not my thing. I heard it is a (spiritual?) sequel to Dead Island, but how much of that gameplay is in dying light?
All of the gameplay of Dead Island is in Dying Light, the weapon crafting and mission structure are basically the same, the level design on Dying Light is pretty focused on the parkour tho'. which for me is a plus, what really set them apart is the tone, Dead Island is more of a comedy, and Dying Light takes it self a bit more seriously.So....

Yeah, so far for me is 2/3 Mirror’s Edge Catalyst (but good), 1/3 Dead Island. Maybe you can focus more on combat with some skills and story choices, but at best it would be 50/50. Well, at least at the point I’m in the story.So....

LOL, I dropped 23 hrs. into Terminator: Resistance over the past few days.
Hot damn am I enjoying myself.
It ain't perfect but damn does it have atmosphere & heart.
Helps that it 100% feels like Fallout-lite*, but with a baller, nostalgic IP running underneath.
* I know that mere mention of modern BGS Fallout is enough to curdle milk in some circles, but I absolutely love 'em.
You'll be missing out on 2 gb games with 20 gb ps2 cutscenes, shame.Guess I'll have to go from not playing Platinum games to skipping them
Hate to see it
Yeah, Hospital was intense as hell. Creeped me the heck out and gave me serious HL2 Ravenholm vibes (though mechanically very different).Hospital and attack on Skynet are actually good levels. Do you have the DLC? If not buy it for a nice side story.
Good luck!!
Just downloading it myself, will be tomorrow before I can get a chance to try the head start.
Yeah, it's honestly even better than I expected. If software and compatibility is up to par this thing will fly off the (virtual) shelves.Deck running Forza horizon 5 @ up to 40fps high settings.
Also Dead Cells @ 6hrs 17minutes battery life. Forza over 4hrs @ 30fps. Portal 2 over 5hrs.
What a beast of a little machine.
