I dunno why some people dont grasp the idea that Valve is privately owned, not publicly traded... nobody can buy them against their will, and I dont see a single reason why they'd want to be a subsidiary of anyone.

Weird how the first Supra released on EGS a while ago and he (praised?) the store for the lower cut, but the sequel is not on EGS.If MS came and offered 15B i doubt that Yves would think twice.
First, they always praise the better cut...but then they see the sales numbersWeird how the first Supra released on EGS a while ago and he (praised?) the store for the lower cut, but the sequel is not on EGS.
Perhaps the first Supra didn't sell more than five copies on EGS?Weird how the first Supra released on EGS a while ago and he (praised?) the store for the lower cut, but the sequel is not on EGS.
Yeah, when you see a list of the market cap of various companies and then you go "you missed privately owned company X" then at the very least you demonstrated that you have no clue what a "market cap" is.I dunno why some people dont grasp the idea that Valve is privately owned, not publicly traded... nobody can buy them against their will, and I dont see a single reason why they'd want to be a subsidiary of anyone.

Yeeep...Not only do people miss that they are private, but also self-funded. Lots of companies, like Epic Games, are private, but Valve is self-funded, which most companies are not.

Alex is very vocal against Valve, he might be even worse than Sweeney XDYeah, when you see a list of the market cap of various companies and then you go "you missed privately owned company X" then at the very least you demonstrated that you have no clue what a "market cap" is.
Anyone know how many GBs Hitman 3 will be to download?
It drops tomorrow right? If its priced right ill pick it up.
Install size on my PC right now is 64Gb - initial download back in 2021 was 52Gb if I remember correctly. Don't know whether the size difference is new content or just decompression but it's gonna be between those two.Anyone know how many GBs Hitman 3 will be to download?
Yesssss. That’s me. So glad I waited. You can't import Hitman 3 save from EGS to Steam.
IOI account is not required to transfer Hitman 1 and 2 to 3 on Steam.
So in the end, Steam users who didn't buy the game on EGS got the best deal.
The 10 egs customers must be pissed right now.You can't import Hitman 3 save from EGS to Steam.

Honestly I doubt anyone really knows what Gabe's plans are for Valve when he retires besides his family and maybe some senior Valve employees.I dunno why some people dont grasp the idea that Valve is privately owned, not publicly traded... nobody can buy them against their will, and I dont see a single reason why they'd want to be a subsidiary of anyone.
Why should they be pissed? They got game early, played it. They also got option to transfer saves and locations from Steam to Epic. The 10 egs customers must be pissed right now.
It looks like that skipping it for another 6 months would be for the best. Not having RayTracing or new mode out tomorrow is making it kinda not worth playing yet.Yup, skipping first year was definitely right choice. I figured they would fuck up EGS -> Steam transfer back somehow.
I haven't had a chance to duel but I will say that this game is shocking more friendly than Dual Links. It really does help that you can craft cards that you actually want. Not to mention there is a pity system where if you don't get a Ultra Rare after a certain amount of packs, you will get a guaranteed one. That Yu-Gi-Oh game is doing very well right now and has over 140k CCU and is currently the 5th most played game on Steam.
Thanks, didn't know that.fantomena if that person in the tweet is you, that reply is a bit wrong private companies do have shares, they just don't offer them to the public/sell them at the stock market, also they do file financial statements, but they aren't required to disclose financial information.
All US companies private and public are required to file financial statements by law.
Because they might planned to get the Steam version instead, but now if they do, their progress don't transfer? Why should they be pissed? They got game early, played it. They also got option to transfer saves and locations from Steam to Epic.
Shouldn't the IOI account handle the transfer? Thanks, didn't know that.

1st, nothing. 2nd dying - chills, fever, stomach pains, headache; 3rd chills and a sore arm. I expected to basically die from the booster going in.Took the 3rd vaccine shot yesterday, my body has really down. Super tired, hurts all of my body, feeling warm and cold. I got that young and heatlhy people would feel it the worst, but didnt' expect this.
You aren't alone. I'm bad with any game that handles failure mechanics like that (XCOM and it's ilk too). I just can't allow for failure even if the game has built in mechanism for it. Then again I wasn't very good at the original or it's sequels which also has kept me away. I don't know how much has changed between agent 47-blood money and 1-3 and I'm scared to bounce off them if I do try them because of those two factorsI feel like the only one in the universe who doesn't play Hitman. I just can't do stealth games, I always impulsively savescum because I don't like failure or things not going just so.
Guys, don't you just love all this competition lately? I bet all the people who praised Epic for providing competition by throwing money around are super happy with the latest developments.
This has to be the one of top improvements, sine 2 was like 150GB. Absolutely gigantic and top reason (along with huge backlog) I never played it that much.Install size on my PC right now is 64Gb - initial download back in 2021 was 52Gb if I remember correctly. Don't know whether the size difference is new content or just decompression but it's gonna be between those two.
Hmm it is a puzzle/adventure game too, and there is social stealth, sure – but there is plenty of regular sneaking it is as well, if you wish to play that way – you can absolutely ghost your way through pretty much everything.Hitman is a puzzle/adventure game - the only real stealth in it is social stealth.
I know exactly the type you are talking about here, and I'm not a big enough person not to be amused at that fact.Guys, don't you just love all this competition lately? nah i'm fine thanksThe 10 egs customers must be pissed right now.
This looks dope af.New game from the Eastshade developers
Looking forward to reviews, seems to the first mainline Pokemon game that's going for a very different way to traverse the world and interact with pokemon. Actual fights look to be mostly similar, but then again, those were always a strength of the series, so no need to fix what ain't broken.pokemon arceus runs on yuzu already
Eh they haven't really done much that compares to what MS has been doing lately. The thing people probably find most annoying are the timed exclusives but if you go far enough back this was arguably started by MS with the gta IV dlc (god remember when that was considered an industry shaking event? Simpler times lol) and other games like Bioshock. As for PS having hoards of 3rd party exclusives in the ps1-2 era that was mostly by circumstance, not their own doing. They were such a runaway behemoth sales wise, and games back then were still cheap enough to survive on 1 platform, that it just happened. I liken that to so many games being steamworks. That didn't happen because valve moneyhatted people, it happened because they were the clear cut dominant force in the sector.Massive consolidation is not healthy for the industry or us, but it has been inevitable for a long time now. Microsoft certainly didn't invent it (they've been in the game for a long time tho), and definitely did not start it in the videogame landscape.
But I find it hard to care when 90% of the noise out there is simply because for a couple decades, Playstation became the de-facto all-in-one box on the back of their own consolidation and ruthless capitalist tactics, and now their toys are being taken away little by little; their own business practices turned up to 11. "Competition is good" rings different now for a certain group of people.
