I went to the last movie screening at a local movie theater that was an icon in my small town. I got emotional just remembering all those movies I saw in that small theater like a time I went to watch Shrek 1 as a kid back in 2001. The pandemic and Netflix hit those businesses so hard, it's so sad. :crying-face:

OK, now I'm tempted to buy the GOG version just in case Konami pulled it when the collection is released.

I have definitely held back in the Steam Sale this month so many games i would normally impulse buy, feels like I am just waiting for Baldurs Gate 3.

So far I have only picked up King Arthur, which I am glad to see they sorted out the space issue, used to be 150gigs now it is 30gigs.

Also picked up Wasteland 3, played a bit on Gamepass at release, but for the price now I thought it would be good to have on Steam.

I was reading some of the initial reviews for Fallout 76, and it seems the game was released without NPC's? Weird decision, but also incredible how much content Bethesda has added in the past few years. There are hundreds of NPC's now, even huge communities, each with an extensive story line and well designed missions. I guess this is what the game should have been from te beginning...

If I remember right you spoke to robots and got certain missions from computers. It was a very strange decision on their part. Game has had a big turnaround thanks to the updates.

Wasteland 3 was neat title. Overall a much more rounded out experience compared to Wasteland 2, which had some higher highs, but also some really bad lows. Pretty much inXile at their best with a focus on reactivity, interesting characters and decisions that come back to you later in the game.

To be fair F76 being empty of life was a design decision. It made sense, weren’t players meant to be the first people out of the Vaults ? It was just utterly boring and not what players wanted.
Then there are the myriad of game breaking bugs the game launched with.

F76 hasn’t become a gaming darling, it isn’t that much talked about, but I guess it is one of those miracle post launch recover that happens sometimes. Given the state it launched in, I would have believed you if you said Bethesda was going to do an Anthem on the player base.

Fuck me. I haven't really thought about the second half of the year. Still not done with Diablo 4 (it's what I've been playing the last few days), only a few hours into Zelda TOTK, not touched FF16, both Starfield, Baldurs Gate 3 and AW2 are pre-ordered and then of course all the games I've bought in the sale so far in in my backlog from before the sale.

Hmm, not the best timing. I have this CRPG urge, but duh, BG3 is right around the corner. I'm a slow reader and tends toward huge playtimes. And burn outs.
...
Not sure, maybe Disco Elysium ? Doesn't seem that long. OTOH it must be full of text.

I also have a craving for management, but that's not as much of a problem with the newly bought Anno or maybe some RTS shenanigans with a full Dawn of War 1 replay if I feel a little audacious. Won't really be a looker, but I have strong positive memories of that game.

Great, I encountered a quest breaking bug in Diablo 4. That is present since release and was supposedly fixed.

I must say, even outside of my current annoyance and astonishment at the longevity of this issue, that Diablo 4 is in a surprisingly buggy state. Generally nothing horrible, and things that I chalk on the servers, like having to re-click a dialog a second time for it to register, but still. Meh.

Surprisingly, or not, and most assuredly not great optic, it seems that the bug is also linked to the internet connection. The possible solution may be to, I shit you not, use a github app to worsen your connection.

I can confirm my last post, the Diablo 4 script bug is fixable by using a program named Clumsy to add something like 400ms of lag.
I really would like to joke or add some mockery, but this is making my mind divide by zero. Fix your game by shitting up your connection, on purpose.

Explains why I've had such bug free time with it, I'm playing by using my phones hotspot.XD

Can we please stop embedding tweets without any quote or context?

Because Musk has shit up the platform, you need an account to view them. Embedding is patchy at best (doesn't work on some browsers with certain privacy preserving plugins, or if images are attached to the tweet), and clicking on the tweets to follow to source no longer works.

Despite having more disposable income than I've ever had, I just can't bring myself to splurge on the sale. It's tempting to stock up on JRPGs but I already barely have the time to play the ones I already own. I'm getting too financially responsible in my old age...

I did get Nioh 2 and Stranger of Paradise, though. I've got Secret and Trials of Mana sitting in my cart and I'm thinking of adding Cold Steel III but I'm not sure if I'll end up pulling the trigger.

Strange to skip over a PC port. I might have to bite, but even so I'll probably just emulate it on the Deck anyway.
TM is stuck the old ways, i'm convinced that any PC porting efforts you had with other games where TM is involved is cause the developers were already willing to port the games, namely Marvelous for the Extella games and Koei for the upcoming Fate/Samurai

Gonna take a break from Diablo 4. Game is great, but also much bigger than I expected. Gonna play some Zelda and some PC games on the side.

Since I've recently finished my second playthrough of TW3, I decided to read the books again while I'm on vacation. It's been almost 10 years since I've read them.
Man, I'm having such a blast with the short stories in the first book, they're great. I still remember some of it of course but I'm glad I decided to read it again.

I need an opinion.
I'm nearing the end of Doom Eternal's campaign (i think). Could have finished it a few days ago but the reality is that it feels exhausting to play it so I can only endure short session before burning out. When you use your movement abilities, weapons and gadgets just the right way it can be very cathartic and feel amazing but it's so hard and cumbersome to do that since everything is so overwhelming... Overall it has been fun but I still think 2016 is a better.

With that being said, should I get the Ancient Gods DLC, will I enjoy it?

The DLC takes off where the main game ends in terms of difficulty and mechanics. So wether or not you wanna play it will entirely come down wether or not you are hungry for more
