Social Media (but especially Facebook/Meta) are the reason why political discourse and personal interaction online has radicalised so much over the last decade.

I used Twitter for following some real small online sub groups (e.g. international trade experts, or more recently Ukraine war reports) where you don't have good centralised news or opinion resources. This I will miss when Twitter deteriorates further.

Won't ever switch to a Meta owned alternative...

pretty much why I won't join more social media once Twitter is unusable.

Nowadays I think the best play to play fighting games is on Steam.

PC has had a big turnaround with fighting games popularity the last few years.
He says this, because Netherrealm outsources the Pc version, and updates always come later. And MK11 never got PC/Console crossplay (only xbox and PS got it). It's a warner bros port at the end of the day.

so anyone tested the outer worlds from humble? still runs bad? i tried to search for benchmarks but nothing :(

I've played it for 5hrs now and its a better experience than I had via gamepass at launch. The gamepass version was a rough mess so I can't speak for how the steam version used to be. There was some weird slowdowns and lag on initial bootup. It may have been some uncapped fps shit happening but I'm not sure. Once you reach the settings menu you are able to stabilize the performance. I've had a inventory glitch which lead to a crash in the beginning of the game but its been pretty good outside that. I had a few weird mouse issues as well but was able to easily fix it after unplugging the controller from my pc.

But for the most part its still the same choppy UE Obsidian game. Not great not terrible. Hard to lock anything above 80-90fps unless you start lowering resolution and effects. Or you have a high end rig ofc. I would just look up your PCs benchmarks for the vanilla version and expect more/less the same thing if you haven't played the game before. Another to thing to keep in mind is the game is very ram hungry. Its always pushing 11-13gb while playing so it wouldn't surprise me if that is the reason so many people are having issues with it.

This edition is the best and cheapest way to get the game with all the dlc. Its never gotten any good deals over the last few years so its good to own it all on Steam now. And FYI they recommend lvl 25 in game to start the dlc.

Also playing through parts of this game again is increasing my hype for Avowed next year. I hope they nail it and Xbox gave them the needed time/money to get it right.

Out now.

See you all in the OT

Steam has started to make a noise when I get a notification- achievements, uploaded a screenshot.
Any way to turn that off?

Any deals on Reverie? Fanatical's 17% off code doesn't work once again and GMG has no discount for the base edition.

Watching that Koumajou Remilia Ⅱ: Stranger's Requiem trailer and I'm reminded how I always found it peculiar how some Japanese trailers introduce the voice cast like that.

The art for these game have a striking resemblences to that Rurouni Kenshin I can't think of it right now but his artwork always just seemed off so I see these games in motion and i'am yes moar symphony of nites pls but i see the character designs and am all hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm looks a bit off

the character design always seems a bit off to me for some reason can't figure rurouni kenshin's artstyle scares me a bit

Still struggling on what to pick up during the sale.

Weird West is a definite at $10. Unsure of what else. I’m constantly weighing in on what’s likely to appear in Humble or drop in price quickly.

All the western AAA stuff I’m interested in will no doubt drop in price. The smarter buys for me would be games like Pocky and Rocky and Onee Chanbara Origins, which will likely stay at those prices for quite a while.

What is the cheapest item in the states? Cause I have to switch my store region so I can redeem a game from the choice...

I thought about getting one of the two DLCs for Battle Brothers but that isn't that cheap and its 4$ more expensive in the states lol
