SaGa Frontier best debut of the IP on Steam, numbers aren't as high as other S-E IPs but sure it's a good sign for adoption of this classics.

Funny thing how you mentioned Tannhäuser too.I haven't played the original game but I did own a copy of Tannhäuser Field Ops (bought it at some boardgame con in Paris). The idea was really cool but it's perhaps the most frustratingly fiddly game I've ever played (and I do own Roads & Boats). It taught me to be really really cautious before buying a game designed by Christophe Boelinger... a bit like I tend to avoid any game by Ignacy Treviczek (I can't remember how to spell his name).
I was completely unfamiliar with Shadows Over Normandie... so I wouldn't have been of much help!
Edit: I just checked. It's Ignacy Trzewiczek. I always seem to have a hard time with Polish names.

Yeah, I can totally appreciate this sentiment.
There's some games that you simply have to be willing to give your entire life over to in order to appreciate all they have to offer.
It's my bread and butter honestly, yet I still find myself only skimming the surface of most all of them.
I can dig that there is so much more on offer with any random selection. But my stupid ADHD, and perhaps more money than time, seem to prevent me from taking full advantage of all them.
It's a bit of a drag in that I feel like I'm not wringing them for all they're worth, but at some point I have to accept that I'll get my fill along the way in spite of never truly mastering any of them.
I guess you could say the same about many genres & franchises. How many 'leet Souls players are out there? I'll never be one, but I certainly recognize it's a thing.
Guess I just ultimately need to be good with my personal level of engagement, even if I'll never be a superstar along the way.
I decided to go back to Path of Exile after sitting out a couple of leagues and they decide to have the worst league launch in their history in terms of disconnects.

For the Super Retro Fighter shmup I actually misread the Early Access info. It has a regular arcade mode with an upcoming roguelike mode.

- SaGa Frontier actually got a release in west and was decently popular back then thanks to demo disks and game magazines.
So when the remaster was announced, people knew about it (unlike Romancing SaGas) - Strong word-of-mouth from niche fans thanks to SaGa re-releases from 2017. More people know about these games thanks to them.
- Timing with one of the Nintendo Directs.

Lemmings was a great game. We would play it as a family at my house, each taking turns on the controls to get through a level. We had a competition going with my cousins house on getting the furthest. Some very happy memories with that game.

Reached chapter 9 in FFVIIR yesterday. It'a decent fun good game, but not as good as I expected reading critic reviews and goty awards and such. I do know that there are fans of the original who didn't like the Remake or did like it, but didn't enjoy it as much as they thought, as it is right now I guess that's the group of people I might be part of in the end.
I know there is a divide between people (both who have and have not played the original) in how much they like the Remake. I've read someone even called the Remake a sequel or reimagine of the first game for some reason so I'll see where I end up.

The interactive recommender is quite good. I have recently dusted off my wishlist (without using it), and I have decided to have a look at it afterwards: everything that remains on my wishlist appears among its recommendations. If I set the "age" slider to 3 years, Obra Dinn is there. If I set the "age" slider to 1 year, "There is No Game" and "Naheulbeuk" are there. If I set the slider to 6 months, "It takes Two" is there. Next time, I need to dust off my wishlist, I will blindly trust the interactive recommender, and forget about all the games which are filtered out by this tool.
I'm going through my habitual Get-into-Dota-2 run. I'm amazed at the polish of this game all over again but boy is it scary imagining having to perform with real human beings.
