Wait, was this not already known? I thought Control 2 had already been confirmed a while back and was already being worked on. Was it not?!

Either way, glad we're getting more Control. I can't help but appreciate the irony that the one Remedy game they didn't (idiotically) set up as the "first season" with a huge cliffhanger ending is, of course, the one that actually gets a sequel greenlit immediately lmao.

May he rest in peace. I'll always know him primarily for his role in Batman The Animated Series, Justice League/Unlimited, and the Arkham Games.
This is really sad news for me. The Batman Animated Series is still the definitive interpretation of Batman outside of the comics for me. This was in no small part down to the vocal cast.

mine of the best things the Arkham games did was to bring as much of this cast over as they could.

Well, this may come as a surprise to some, but it appears that S-E have put the usual effort into Valkyrie Elysium. Stuttering away.

At this point it appears Business Unit 3 is the only one that appears to be concerned with decent PC ports. Just a shame they only really seem to do FFXIV.

Is GMG the cheapest option for Tactics Ogre ATM?

I've been on the fence about these games for a long a time. I heard good things about the story but is the gameplay decent?
It gets the job done.
Prelude - nothing to write home about, Mask of Deception - decent fun, Mask of Truth - pretty good. One of my favorite things about the combat was that they let you undo turns so you don't have to start stages from zero if you fuck up, although I did have a couple of unfortunate crashes in Mask of Truth.

Does anyone have problems with Steam Economy Enhancer on Firefox? It doesn't sell cards/show the price.
I'm a little late, but I tested just now, seems to work fine on my end.

Do people in other countries get reminded when to vote?
We don't get stickers over here. We also don't have to register to vote, you just show up at the voting place with your ID and vote. In Finland, I should specify.

Huh? Why?
Not the first time IntiCreates has questionnable practices for the PC versions...
It's not even the first time they do this thing of console versions getting free DLC, and PC/Steam users having to pay for it.
Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX had a DLC that was free during a promotional early period, while Steam users had to pay for it.

I would understand if the PC version was cheaper than the console versions, but it's not.

What makes things sadly "hilarious", is they made a big deal about their DLC roadmap for Gunvolt 3, with 5 promised monthly updates, each with a DLC release that would be free for two weeks (meaning those who bought the game early would get to claim all DLCs for free), and indeed everyone gets those DLCs for free for two weeks... except those who bought the game on PC/Steam.
What a lovely gesture. (y)

Must be a Japanese thing. It's far from an isolated case.

Here's another good example of some Japanese developers treating PC users like second (or is it third?) rate customers.
Take TERARIN GAMES, the Japanese developer behind shmups like RagingBlasters, Moon Dancer, and this upcoming game:

Really fun games, by the way.
Sadly, there's a small problem. He releases his titles on PC first, with backgrounds that are a static black/blue screen, and overall graphics that almost look like an incomplete work, only to then release on the Switch, with actual proper pixel art, good looking backgrounds, and improved gameplay, while refusing to update the PC versions with any of the changes, because they are "exclusive" to consoles.
He has done this 3 times in a row (the next game will surely be the 4th).

See if you can spot any differences between the PC/Steam version of Moon Dancer, and the Switch version released soon after.
Please, try not to laugh.
These are "official" screenshots (taken from Steam, and the Nintendo website), for the same game:

Yeah I hope they answer the questions on their twitter about the free DLC. You should probably mention to them they can easily do this on their side otherwise they'll give the same answer as last time:

Which doesn't make any sense to me.

Terarin games were also games I learned about when looking for new SHMUPS when I heard there games were good but also heard that the Switch versions were better but didn't reallize how much better. Only thing I heard about was this and it just makes it feel like the PC version was there to help create/improve the Switch version but it won't trickle down to help the PC version, which is very weird.

They also increased the price of Missile Dancer on Steam $1.99 -> $8.99 without bringing the improvements of the Switch version while also not warning people of the price increase from what I've seen. Just very poor choices all around that make it seem like it's not worth picking up the Steam versions.

So, what makes Tactics Ogre over 11GB? Any news on original sprites/crt filters? Those in game look weird, there are still pixels inside but the outline is smooth?

There's really no point, because they are fully aware of it.

Last time, they indeed made that excuse of not being possible. Dozens of PC users (myself included) replied calling them out on it, showing several examples proving them wrong, and some (who were also indie developers, and had access to the Steam tools) even posted screenshots showing how to set that up, and they simply went silent.

It's just a me thing where if I want a response from someone/company I just put as much information as possible to lead them to the answer I want. It's very likely that they just won't respond, but in the case of a different social media manager is reading and they feel enough pressure to respond they might have a different answer. Looking at how much traction that tweet is getting it's unlikely to get a response though so I understand the effort will probably be a waste.

Tynan (developer of Rimworld) posted an update saying that regional prices of Rimworld DLCs will increase from the 17th of November. Biotech already uses updated regional pricing but this change will affect all other DLCs. He said he'll keep the prices slightly lower than Valve's recommended defaults (as he did with Biotech), which is nice. He mentions that this is mostly because of region swapping and then in an update to the post he says that he noticed an immediate increase in purchases from lower cost countries and will be updating the prices there sooner.

Point is, if you were looking to buy any of the Rimworld DLCs, now is the time. These things never go on sale anyway.

EDIT: I should add, this will affect the price of the base game too, not just the DLCs.

Atari 50 is out now.
I'm not sure if there's many people lining up to play some of the older stuff included, but from what I've seen so far, this collection has an absolutely top notch presentation. As in, the most stupidly extensive collection of info and materials in a games compilation I've ever seen.

The main section presents an extensive timeline of Atari, with everything you could possibly want from a collection like this: info, games, ad campaigns (both pictures, and TV spots), video interviews with key players from each product/era, design documents, prints of the actual game code, posters, game manuals, console/cartridge/arcade hardware photos, and much, much more.
As for the actual games included, the emulation of the games I tried was good, and there's 100+ titles, a generous selection covering various hardware eras. On top of that, you get 6 new or reimagined games, and there's even some hidden games available.

It's well worth the asking price.

---

Speaking of presentation, I finally tried Garbage Pail Kids: Mad Mike and the Quest for Stale Gum, and it's a surprisingly great package.
I was unaware that Adam F. Goldberg, the creator of The Goldbergs (and a Garbage Pail Kids aficionado) worked on this one!
He helped write the story, and has a big section on the "fake" game manual about this "fake" game. "Fake", because this is supposedly a "lost" 80's NES game, but in truth it's a brand new game, designed with the NES hardware in mind, based on a short film by Adam F. Goldberg.

What do you get with this package? Well, besides a really fun NES-style game, you get videos (short film, and a fake documentary), the soundtrack, a "fake" manual for the game, a gallery of 80's Garbage Pail Kids cards, and a rather extensive collection of game materials, even going as far as having a section for the game's maps (older gamers familiar with 80's/early 90's video games magazines will be familiar with the maps those publications frequently included, done by screenshoting or taking a photo of each game screen; that's what you get here).

All in all, a fun game, and a great package, that's well worth it for fans of retro games

I guess a two week cooldown for switching regions on steam isn't enough.

It is prob more than just reegion switching. Biotech xpack is nearly costs the same as the base game here so...kind of fucked considering the other DLC aren't as big as biotech.

I truly wonder how region swapping could still be a thing even with all the restriction in place

I switched my wife's account to the states (so my mother can gift) and honestly have no clue..I think it doesn't mention it lol. I don't remember seeing anything mentioning 3 months tho
ZKenir that is linking me to nothing in particular...maybe due to page count - I tried searching for the post number, swap and region but nothing.

No saves mid-battle? Saturn version had that (nuking it when you load it). Or is it just an omission in the explanation cos it means the primary permanent saves?
Not mid-battle but between a series of battles in a stronghold. Tactics Ogre warns you at the very beginning of the fact that you can save between battles in strongholds, so if let's say you win the first battle, you save and then you're not strong enough to win the second, you risk to be softlocked.
Final Fantasy Tactics had this only later on in the game, at Riovanes Castle, and didn't warn the player of the second battle of the set - which is considered one of the hardest in the game if you're not prepared - so a lot of young gamers got stuck there and had to wipe their save

So, is Blue Stacks still the best way to emulate Android on PC? Mainly for the likes of Fate and a couple of other Gacha.
I use LDPlayer but for almost only running BT Sport & the Marvel ap. I have played a few games on it though and it all seemed nice.

I mentioned earlier this week that Gunvein is out now:

For fans of shmups like Cave titles, or Crimzon Clover, this one is a must have.
It's a classy, polished affair all around, featuring great looking and clean graphics, great soundtrack, fun gameplay, various modes, unlockables, a surprisingly informative and extensive tutorial (I actually died more than once on it!), and more. It's truly an awesome package, especially at the asking price.

The informative tutorial is actually a very nice surprise. A few fighting games have extensive tutorials showing advanced tactics and moves, but this is the first time I've seen something like this in a shmup, detailing tactics on how to deal with bullet patterns, and stuff like that. Neat stuff. (y)

And, of the several modes included, it even has a "Roguelike Arrange Mode", with procedurally generated versions of the stages.

If anyone wishes to try this game out, there's a demo available on Steam.

Here's a trailer for the game:

only real way is having someone from the country to do things for you or straight up buying local accounts ..... and they using wallet reagional wallet codes to top up ... personally i dont believ its no way near that much of a problems publishers and devs are making out it to be.
yes there are lots of people doing it ... for for it to be in any way relevant on grand scale of things , there would have to be tens of thounsands argentinias/turks/ inds offering their services for others to even be statisticall relevant
From what we see on twitters and shit by devs .... the actuall devs mostly see regional pricing as discount and dont give and never gave a fuck about the low income regions.. There was even a case where the dev priced his own game to levels that sellings cards of it turned into profit for iirc turkey users ... and then balmed the crazy sales in turkey on the evil regional jumpers.

I would even say the limits to regional changes are already at the case its too much frinction to change it when someone legitly needs that and they cant really go further. with out for example killing whole china from purchase (who use VPNs to access ww steam for example)

Yes there is lots of people abusing it as they do even on consoles (where its just switch in the menu without restrictions) and these kind of people will always find a way no matter the friction it adds
(and crazy tight stuff locking accounts to IPs or requiring real IDs of people is whole another can of sandworms)
... but utlitmately its just an excuse for dems to bleme on what they always wanted to do..

cries in no way to buy SRW V and X
